Rereteewhioi marae is located in Waiuku on Taurangatira Road (off Awhitu Road), and is home to the hapū of Ngāti Paretauaa of Waikato iwi.The wharenui is named Arohanui, the wharekai is Te Iti o Waikato and the orator’s shelter is called Wihere. Rereteewhioi marae has connections to the maunga Taupiri and to the Waikato River. Belonging to the greater waka collective of Tainui, Rereteewhioi marae is guided by the speaking protocol of tu atu, tu mai.
